Set-up: I went to the McDonalds drive-through with my sister Katie. She was driving and I was in the passenger seat. I wanted ice cream, and she didn't want anything.
Drive-Through Voice: Welcome to McDonalds! What can I get for you?
Katie: One hot-fudge sundae- no nuts, please.
Drive-Through Voice: That will be $1.08. Please drive around.
[we drive to the window where we are greeted by a young man working the cash register]
Cashier: That'll be $1.08. [grabs money from Katie and starts to hand us the sundae, but stops]. Why you want no nuts?!
Katie: It's for her. [points to me]
Cashier: You ain't want no nuts?
Me: I'm allergic.
Cashier: [hands over the ice cream] So you can't handle the nutttsssss? [eyebrows dance wildly]
Katie: Uhhhhhh?!? [drives off quickly]
